MERCER COMMONS

City Architecture, working directly with the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) led a two-block redevelopment plan focused towards providing quality, mixed-income housing while contributing to the revitalization of the historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Over-the-Rhine's renaissance has garnered national recognition for its preservation of Italianate architecture and infusion of strategic public and private investments. This urban mixed-use development involves sensitive historic renovation and modern new construction, residential and commercial uses, condominiums and apartments as well as the integration of a new district parking garage. Design initiatives activate the district's streets, create pocket parks and provide easily-accessed parking that is convenient but unobtrusive to the urban fabric.
