Third Federal Savings and Loans' corporate headquarters, situated in Cleveland's historic Broadway neighborhood, represents this local corporation's commitment urban revitalization. The complex's site planning takes full advantage of views and redefines an iconic intersection within the City's core.
The project involves several components, consolidating administrative services and banking operations into a unified corporate campus. Adjoining the headquarters building are a three-story, 100,000 s.f. office building, a pavilion that incorporates a cafeteria and auditorium, and a wing that houses a two-level parking deck and training center. These components are arranged in a manner to create park spaces and outdoor employee amentiies. Modern forms and massing, defined by intricate brick and stone detailing, are meant to complement the grand historic buildings that are a part of the neighborhood’s legacy, while introducing a contemporary design language into the urban context.
